The Brief

Web Design & Development / Digital Marketing

Wilson Combat started off as streamlining their existing branding. Bringing their website to bring into the modern age, as well as trimming some of the fat to make it a smoother more lean experience for new customers. For the website, we opted to go with Wordpress to make it easier for copy-edits and photo changes to be made by people without development experience. Later, after success with the Bravo Company emails, I was tasked with designing and making digital marketing projects for Wilson Combat as well.

WEbSITE / INTERACTIVE

With the website update, one of the goals was to make the home page more accessible to new visitors. Craftsman photos were used to quickly get across the point that Wilson Combat makes high-end craft firearms. Rotating carousels were also included of the more popular products in each category to give newcomers a starting point to look.

This is a screenshot of the product pages, the goal of these pages is to quickly get across the specifications a firearms enthusiast would need, while also using lots of photography to showcase the craftsmanship and the product itself to our user demographic that is more interested in collectors pieces.

After a certain point, the menu became so large with all the different caliber and rifle options that a dedicated page was created to quickly browse by platform. For returning users, it includes the familiar icons of the caliber pages so that they could be used to browse by use-case, as well as “new” banners to quickly find the latest products. For new users we included best seller banners to our more popular products to give them an easy place to start exploring. (Best Seller Icons by Allie Flint)

NEWsletters

My role on these newsletters was photo editing, graphic design, and art direction. While Laurie Simpson provided the creative direction for all Wilson Combat newsletter campaigns.

Newsletter trying to promote a variety of rifle parts by showcasing the ease and reliability of using our parts in your latest build.

Product Launch For A Limited Edition “Custom Alliance” Knife

Newsletter targeting out hunting demographic, showcasing natural environments and the calibers we recommend for them.

An email for the launch of “300 HAM’R" both the caliber and new rifle models. The challenge with this email was balancing all the information the client wanted, without diminishing the CTA. I worked to overcome this by including more distinctive sections, instead of one long flowing piece.

Digital Advertisements

This wide skyscraper ad was used to convey the wide range of AR platforms (AR10 & AR15), as well as showcasing how many calibers that Wilson Combat supports. It utilizes the dark blue background and yellow highlights to more match in line with the brands print advertisements.
